Romantic yet hot, hot, hot

This is an old-fashioned romance, yet the hero is not so arrogant, cold and downright hateful to the woman he woos, as some romance protagonists are. I LIKED the fact that there was not so much drama, i.e., a scorned woman who stalked the couple or the new woman in this man's life.

Seriously, how many fatal attraction-type women ARE there that can't give up on a man? Helen Bianchin is a wonderful writer, but she needs an editor to rein her in on this particular habit of hers. Thankfully, this book does not include the "crazy ex-girlfriend," as country singer Miranda Lambert sings about.

Another plot device Bianchin resists trotting out in "The Marriage Campaign": There's no melodramatic point where the characters have a crisis of faith in the relationship and run away or walk out on the other. So this offers a lot of pages at the end to build on the happily ever after aspect. They are one hot couple and tease one another a bit, so it's interesting to the last page.

Gabbi and Benedict, the couple one of these reviewers might be referring to, are in "An Ideal Marriage." Another character, whose name escapes me at this moment, is the woman in Dom's past. She's kind of sad, so I would enjoy seeing her story if Bianchin hasn't already written it. HINT, HINT :)

some drama won't hurt !

Hmm....I wonder if it's me because I found this story to be really boring.
Francesca is a widow, her husband was killed in an accident three years ago. Francesca keeps herself distanced from everyone, even all this time and then she meets Dominic. Dominic wants her from first sight and uses tactics to meet her. He slowly, gently and patiently pursue her because she's still hurt about the death of her husband.
Seriously, Helen Bianchin has some good works. (I'm using some because I found one that was also boring) But I hate how easily everything goes. Sure everything fits in with everything and things goes along smoothly but I, myself would like to see some bumps along the way. If you guys want to read it, then enjoy and tell me what you like about it because it was a little bit too smooth for my liking.
Also Helen Bianchin included some other characters that had more interesting problems. And what's with that? Are there going to be other story extended from this one? Well enjoy people!

Dr Radhika Soundararajan is a practising pediatric counselor with over 23 years of experience. She is currently working as a psychologist at Saveetha University, Chennai. A first glimpse

With this book the author provides the basis of an understanding of how to invest in the finance sector. The author is an analyst at Fisher Investments covering the financial sector and macro strategy and with this book Ken Fisher’s investment firm completed the book series going through how to invest in all 10 GICS sectors. The structure of the book is the same as previously. A sector is presented and then a strategy for investing and portfolio construction is suggested. This later section is more or less similar for all the books. The intended audiences are individual investors, students and aspiring investment professionals and the goal is to provide them with the tools to make their own investment decisions.

Contrary to what many perhaps believe Financials is a very diverse sector comprising of the industry groups 1) banks, 2) insurance, 3) real estate and so-called 4) diversified financials – and within these four there are plenty of further variations and business models. After a introductory chapter each of these industry groups get one chapter each ranging from 10 to 30 pages with a fair amount of white space.

It stands to reason that discussing insurance with a text that might fill 5 or so A4-pages becomes very schematic. This doesn’t make it wrong or bad – just not very comprehensive. I don’t feel that any area has been unduly left out. The bulk of the description is focused on banks and with the relatively large size compared to the other industry groups this might be warranted. This is in comparison with for example the parallel book on Information Technology where the dominating industry group Software & Services received very little attention.

Despite the brevity the author presents many of the relevant concepts in the industry groups and does a fair job of discussing the foundation of their business models. What I would have wished for is 10 or 15 more pages adding some numerical examples. Financials is very much about the numbers in for example balancing various risks or balancing risk versus returns and the reader’s understanding of financial indicators becomes somewhat limited if he only gets a verbal description of them.

It’s easy to criticize the books in this series for being overly rhapsodic, for using the same investment strategy section over and over again. I also think their writing generally lacks curiosity and passion – although Mr. Kirz’s text was above average in this area. However, it’s not easy to write about complicated areas in short form and if a private investor takes the time to read all ten texts (leaving the reading of the investment strategy to the last book) he will gain a good basic understanding of how most listed companies make money and what drives their shares and the ebb and flow of earnings. If these books didn’t exist it would only be those who had access to the industry primers of investment banks that could get a similar overview of the investment universe.

Considering that most private investors to a large extent lack a method for portfolio construction and risk management the method suggested by Fisher Investments might increase returns over long term. Not because I think it will make them outperform the market but because I think it will make them underperform less and also reduce their risks. This is probably an equally important contribution as giving private investors knowledge on sectors.

This book is a good alternative for those who want to get a first glimpse of the financial sector but do not expect any deeper insights.

It is information for the beginner. It could be less dumbed down, presenting more meaningful insights. But it has a niche and it is really good for the beginner, or for a quick reference.

Worst book every read-way off topic

I read at least 2 books a month and I think this as the worst book I have every read. The book has no substance and effectively can be summarized in less than 10 pages. Extremely disappointed that something like this come from Fisher Investments. For anyone wanting to learn anything about analyzing financial institutions, this book should be an easy pass.

Cards to help you influence others

The patterns one could learn from this pack of cards is amazing to say the least. There are plenty of ways to use these patterns whether in sales, relationships and in general influence.
I do have a pack of the original Zebu cards and a few of the patterns here are better and there are a few better patterns in the Zebu pack.
Overall for how these cards can help you can learn how to influence others for about 30 bucks ... just buy the cards

Check out his websight also and NLP and Neuro-Semantics for curing your mental hangups or learning to be more persuasive and convincing in your daily life. Dave Ellis is a leadership coach, author, educator, and philanthropist. He is a respected lecturer and electrifying workshop leader who has captivated audiences worldwide since first sharing his principles in 1979. An overview of the intrecacies of metabolism

An up to date reference book on nutrition as a preventative medicine.
Dr Carol Hungerford presents nutrition in the context of healthy living and the prevention of disease. She discusses the effect of vitamins and minerals in considerable and insightful detail, yet does so with the untrained reader in mind; while she provides the medical terminology she immediately gives the everyday lay-speak terms.
The metabolism and its inveteracy in the human body is traced emphasizing the importance of all the many ingredients in their pathways from their input to the receptors of the very cells that need them and what the cells do with them and why, and how they fail if certain vital ingredients are absent.
I have read many books on nutrition ever since I was introduced to it in Biology classes when I was 13 years old, but none have brought it all together like this.
Hungerford is using it in teaching young doctors to provide the missing link in their university studies; she admits that she has learnt much from veterinarians and their research. She warns of the over-prescription of antibiotics, especially during pregnancy, as it tends to destroy the vitally important gut-flora in the mother and the newly-born baby.
I recommend this as a valuable reference book for medical practitioners as well as individuals who want to improve their health and that of their babies..

good health is in your hands

This book is not easy to read there is a lot of technical information which requires concentration (so not good for reading in bed), in spite of that it is worth it and I will read it again as first time round I skimmed a bit. By the end I decided to give my diet and health books away I realise I need to focus on whole healthy food and let the rest worry about itself. Thanks Doc

A good explanation of many facts and fallacies.

Carole has given us an insight into the scientific rationalisation of our dietary choices and also potential toxins contained in many products due to poor farming procedures or commercial shortcuts...or just poor and uninformed choices because of our busy lifestyle. Excellent information and advice within.
