Ihm wurde der hochdotierte Ernst-Blickle-Preis 2000 und die Benz-Daimler-Maybach-Ehrenmedaille 2001 des VDI für die Serieneinführung des Pkw-Dieselmotors mit Direkteinspritzung und für seine Verdienste um die Fahrzeugtechnik verliehen.

“Oh Santa, I wish for a new car – that would be my wildest wish” she grinned, and rattled off a short list of inane items.. “And I wish I weren’t so alone – but I know that’s an impossible wish. I have my son, but it’s not the same. I miss having an adult relationship – and that includes the physical intimacy. I can only do so much by myself!”
“I can do a little something about that” Santa smiled back, “And you did promise your son that I’d come tonight…”
Emma could feel a firm bulge begin to grow in Santa’s pants, pressing against the side of her ass. She squirmed a little, snuggling closer to him. She had promised…
“Have you been naughty or nice this year Emma?”
“Oh, I’m a nice girl Santa, I really am!” she giggled, playing along “When I was little I’d get a candy cane if I was a good girl – do I get a candy cane?”

Santa is known as a guy who makes everyones wishes come true, and in this erotic short he does not disappoint! The sex in this book is deliciously detailed and vivid images of being mounted by the man in red swam through my head as I read it. Thomas N. Duening is Director of the Entrepreneurial Programs Office at the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering, Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He is also President of INSYTE Business Research Group, an international business consulting and research firm.

Globalization and the greater need for cross-cultural reliance have transformed what was once a cornered marketplace for a few into an open playing field for many. In effect a measurable business discipline has evolved complete with acronyms, models and methods. The Essentials of Business Process Outsourcing by Thomas N. Duening and Rick L. Click is a valuable must-read for corporate decision makers considering the transition into an outsourcing business model. In seven chapters the book outlines a comprehensive roadmap of external business operations in the 21st century.

The Essentials of Business Process Outsourcing is especially helpful in acquainting novices with the concept of outsourcing and its origins. A brief historical segment highlights the evolution of Western business from the Agrarian Age to that of industrialization and now information technology (Duening and Click 7).

Three aspects of the book that are particularly noteworthy are valuation of risk and reward, the vendor selection process and effective project management. Forecasting risk and reward through the creation of a TCM (total cost management model) "helps identify both obvious and hidden costs" (67) that can affect a BPO strategy.

Authors Duening and Click champion the importance of systematic organization in the establishment and maintenance of a BPO. While many companies enter the process outsourcing market many don't survive due to lack of structure, knowledge and unrealistic expectations. Short addressed with complicated vocabulary

I am using this book to teach a topics class in Information Technology. It is very well structured with direct attention to major issues relative to outsourcing from different perspectives: buyer and vendor. Authors, however, continuously use complicated terms in places where it could have been much easier to say the same thing.

This could be a book for managers, senior officials or lawyers who are very well aware of various industry-specific words but not for those are novices in the area. I wonder why the authors choose 'Essentials' in their title.

Tagging is a new form of information management that relates to personal organization, info architecture, and online communities

This was a really good book. It wasn't what I expected it to be. But it was a worthwhile read. I picked it up because I do a fair amount of work writing book reviews and making guides and booklists on Amazon. And Amazon now lets guys like me create tags for the books I review and include in guides and lists. I kind of expected this book would have talked a little bit about the Amazon system of tagging. Nope. But that's OK. It's still a good book. It includes seven chapters and three appendices:

1. What is tagging?
2. The value of tagging
3. Tagging system architecture
4. Tags, metadata, and classical systems
5. Navigation and visualization
6. Interfaces
7. Technical design
A. Case study: social bookmarking
B. Case study: media sharing
C. Case study: personal information management

Tagging is a form of information that is really starting to take root in our computer systems and online systems. I first experienced it back in 1998 when I purchased a copy of Lotus Organizer to use as my Personal Information Manager (PIM) when practicing law. The program allowed me to cross-reference the many lists I had created in its database. I thought it was really cool back then.

I was just getting into creating Web sites in 1998, too. And I found the tagging features in Lotus Organizer enabled me to do with the data in my database what I was doing with my Web pages in my Web sites. Basically tagging is another name for hyperlinking. Nothing more and nothing less. A tag will take you to a new idea, concept, data item, data page, or database. It's a springboard that will take you to information.

This book points out that tagging is a new form of information management as it relates to personal organization, information architecture, and online communities. I suppose my Lotus Organizer program is an example of the first, and Amazon's system is an example of the last. So is it really all that new?

All in all, this book explains the value of tagging. It's a guide to what, how and why to tag. Each chapter ended in a list of bullet points called a Summary. I liked this feature very much since it helped me skim through the book quickly. 5 stars!

If you use the Web a lot, the stream of information you navigate sometimes seems like a tsunami. Besides emails and RSS feeds, your digital stream can include social networking sites, photos from your friends, links from Del.icio.us, and Twitter tweets.

Tagging these online resources can help you make sense of your stream. If you use tags now, this book will show you ways to juice your game, and will likely point you to new resources. If you don't use tags, this book explains how tagging can help, and how to get started.

And if you're a web architect, Gene Smith walks you through the things you should consider when designing tagging system.

I have worked on a variety of applications and have participated in conferences where it is clear we all have an incredible amount of data to manage.
It seems tagging is the new means of organizing your data, but it is also equally clear to most of us that this feels very unstructured.

This book is sure to be a seminal book, discussing the early years of tagging. It deals with the basics:
a. What it is
b. Why we want to do it
c. Some various methods and structures for tagging and how we would use it.
d. Examples of the components of tagging, why and where to use them
e. Some code nuts and bolts of how to approach tagging.

Finally there are some real life examples
1. Social bookmarking
2. Media sharing
3. Personal information management.

This book is easy to read and quickly gets you up to speed on some of the issues associated with tagging.

Essentially it says, you need to decide what you want to do, before deciding on the type of tagging you would use.

It also clearly leaves the reader realizing this is just the beginning..

Very Helpful

I'm just learning German for the fun of it. Until now, I've just been reading books and working on the Tell Me More! course. I've been making a little progress but I kept getting hung up on the grammar and realized my biggest problem is my weakness in English grammar.

Based on some of the comments here and the title of this book, I decided to give it a try. I find the book an easy read that helps me understand why German sentences are structured as they are. In addition, it has brought back some of the things I learned as a kid in Catholic school.

I'm certain that this little book will be a great addition to the study materials I've been putting together. I'll be taking an Introduction to German class at the local public school and I think I'll be well prepared to understand the instruction.

If you are like me and just learning German for the fun of it, read this book and I'm sure your understanding of the language will improve no matter what other materials you've studied.

Jumps your English skills into fourth gear

This book is very direct and to the point, exactly what I needed. I've been taking German language classes for six years and, at 33, but I've lost a lot of the "younger years" in terms of English grammar. It becomes difficult to relate Nominative vs. Dative and all the information about direct and indirect objects and possession.

While most people know their grammar in typical speech, without being able to break down your English language into a structure it is extremely difficult to learn German's structure for proper sentence creation. We "just know" English because we've learned it as children and understand what is right/wrong in speech by hearing it -- not as easy in German learning it as a second language. This book calls out many of the basic holes in your knowledge from participles to dangling prepositions and after teaching you the English concept it goes through the German structures to show you the differences or commonalities.

The book almost presumes you may have once know much of the parts of speech, cases, functions and tense and really is a refresher course to bring back some lost knowledge.

I'd give the product 5-stars but it leans on the "German Textbook" phrase a few too many times. Rather then giving you a couple great examples for weak and strong verbs or other complex examples, it will tell you to "consult your text book," which makes this a secondary booster-pack of information to a mysterious second book. Although it might be a bit redundant with other text, repeating the information benefits the reader. I'd also like to see charts on der/die/das with their cases/functions and such, which I've not found present yet. I guess, for the price, you can only ask for so much.

I suggest looking for an unused Used copy on Amazon from students that took courses but were too lazy to actually crack open this valuable book. I found one on amazon for $9 and the binding hadn't even been bent yet! Such is life with school books I guess ;-)

This book will really help anyone learning the German language because most of us have forgotten [or never learned] proper grammar in English! It shows you how English and German sentences compare grammaticaly. They do offer this book for other languages as well.
